Realigning satellite downlinks

Yesterday was an unusual day. I’ve never had a dental hygienist appointment and a doctor’s appointment in the same day back to back. I’m healthy until next year.

The afternoon was spent in the sun repairing our C-Band downlink. This is how we receive some programming for play on the air. My coworker and I replaced the LNB (the part at the front of the dish that’s suspended by arms) and realigned the dish.

It’s always a nice feeling to get a downlink aligned and get to use our spectrum analyzer.
